the east side.

having spent my college years in saint louis, "going to the east side" has always held a special place in my heart. so, the new east side will take some time to get used to, but after this first trip...i think i'll be able to manage.
i love oregon. every direction has something different to offer. we made the trek to the northeastern corner last weekend. lora made me proud catching her first two steelhead on easter sunday. i countered with a couple of 8" whitefish and a foul-hooked sucker. lora wins.

the highlights: the fish (obviously), great weather, a terminal gravity bleu cheese buffalo burger, and james from eugene.
the lowlights: just the gas prices and some barbed wire.

That looks a lot like a place I went to in SE WA...

Good on the other half. Always helps the cause when they do the heavy liftin' on a trip.
